A top leader of the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) and nine other suspected members have been arrested in separate drives conducted by the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in Narayanganj and Mymensingh.

Following the operations, RAB filed two cases at Siddhirganj Police Station in Narayanganj—one under the Anti-Terrorism Act and another for illegal entry.

The arrestees, who were produced before the court this afternoon, include Ataullah Abu Ammar Jununi alias Ataullah (48), Mostaq Ahmed (66), Moniruzzaman (24), Salimullah (27), Asmaul Hosna (23), Md Hasan (15), Md Asmat Ullah (24), Md Hasan (43), Shahina (22), and Senowara (17).

The police applied for a twenty-day remand. After a hearing, the court of Narayanganj Senior Judicial Magistrate Moinuddin Kadir granted six of the accused ten days in remand, which is five days in each case.
