The recently launched police hotline for immediate action against violence targeting women received 103 complaints between 4 PM on Monday and 8 AM on Tuesday, according to a statement from police headquarters.

However, officials reported that 62 of these complaints were unrelated to the hotline's purpose, with callers seeking information such as phone numbers or details about private hospital doctors.

For cases requiring urgent intervention, police officers were swiftly dispatched to the scene, while legal advice was provided in instances where immediate action was unnecessary, the statement added.

Authorities urged the public to avoid making irrelevant calls to the hotline numbers (01320002001, 01320002002, 01320002222) to ensure the service remains effective in assisting victims of violence.
