Sri Lanka has recorded over 500,000 tourist arrivals as of 2 March, local media reports on Monday.
According to the report, the country welcomed 485,102 visitors in January and February, marking the highest-ever arrivals for these months.
With approximately 18,000 more tourists arriving on 1 and 2 March, the total has surpassed the half-million mark.
The Central Bank earlier estimated Sri Lanka’s tourism earnings for January 2025 at 401 million US dollars.
