Actress Sohana Saba was detained and taken to the Detective Branch (DB) headquarters for interrogation concerning allegations of participation in anti-state conspiracies.
She was apprehended from the Dhanmondi area of the capital around 12:30am on Thursday (7 February) and subsequently taken to the DB office on Minto Road, said DMP Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Talebur Rahman.
According to DB sources, following the recent arrest of actress Meher Afroz Shaon, Sohana Saba had been under surveillance due to similar allegations of anti-state activities.
Notably, Saba was an active member of the pro-Awami League artists' WhatsApp group "Alo Asbei".
Earlier, on Thursday evening, Meher Afroz Shaon was arrested and is currently undergoing interrogation at the DB headquarters.
