Four of the six reform commissions formed during the initial phase submitted their reports to Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus.
The heads of the commissions presented their findings at the Chief Adviser's office in Tejgaon, Dhaka on Wednesday (15 January), said Chief Adviser's Press Secretary, Shafiqul Alam.
He shared a photograph on Facebook showing the Constitution Reform Commission handing over its report.
A press conference is scheduled for 3pm, where the government will provide detailed information to the media concerning the reports.
According to the press secretary, as of 14 January, the executive summaries of the reports, along with key features, are expected to be shared.
The commissions that submitted their reports include the Election Commission, the Anti-Corruption Commission, the Police Reform Commission, and the Constitution Reform Commission.
These commissions were formed following a gazette notification issued by the interim government on 3 October. The six commissions are:
- Electoral System Reform Commission, chaired by Dr Badiul Alam Majumdar
- Police Administration Reform Commission, chaired by Sarfar Raj Hossain
- Judiciary Reform Commission, chaired by Justice Shah Abu Naeem Mominur Rahman
- Anti-Corruption Reform Commission, chaired by Dr Iftekharuzzaman of TIB
- Public Administration Reform Commission, chaired by Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury
- Constitution Reform Commission, chaired by Dr Ali Riaz, a distinguished professor at Illinois State University.
