BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia arrived in London for advanced medical treatment.
The special air ambulance carrying her landed at Heathrow Airport at 2:55pm Bangladesh time on Wednesday (8 January).
This visit comes as part of ongoing efforts to manage her chronic health conditions, including arthritis, diabetes, and complications from a previous surgery.
Khaleda Zia, the former prime minister of Bangladesh, has been receiving treatment in Dhaka since her release from prison in 2020 on health grounds. After multiple hospitalisations and the recommendations of her medical team, it was decided that she would seek further specialised care abroad.
