Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus arrived in Cairo on Wednesday morning to participate in the D-8 Summit, an assembly of the Developing-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation.
Egypt’s Minister of Public Business Sector, Mohamed Shimi, received him at the Cairo International Airport, followed by a brief meeting between the two leaders.
During his two-day visit, Professor Yunus is scheduled to deliver a speech at Al-Azhar University on Thursday (19 December) at the invitation of the university's Grand Imam Ahmed Eltayeb. The invitation was extended during their meeting at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Baku, Azerbaijan, on 12 November.
