An attempted murder case has been filed in Chattogram against 164 individuals, including Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari, the spokesperson of the Bangladesh Sanatan Jagaran Jote and an expelled ISKCON leader.

Additionally, 400 to 500 unnamed individuals have been listed as unidentified accused in the case.

The case was filed on Sunday (8 December) in the court of Chattogram Metropolitan Magistrate Md Abu Bakar Siddique.

Businessman Enamul Haque submitted the case application as the plaintiff.

The court has accepted the case for consideration and is currently awaiting an order, as confirmed by the plaintiff’s legal counsel, Advocate Shamsul Alam.

According to Advocate Shamsul Alam, the court heard the petition and formally accepted it as a case, keeping it under review for further orders.

Plaintiff Enamul Haque stated that the incident occurred on 26 November while he was at the court premises for personal work.

During a clash between ISKCON followers and police, ISKCON supporters allegedly attacked him with the intent to kill, shouting “Molla Molla.”

Enamul further alleged that the expelled ISKCON leader, Chinmoy Krishna Das, was the chief conspirator behind the incident.

He explained that the delay in filing the case was due to his prolonged hospitalisation for treatment following the attack.
