BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has stated that the removal of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's portrait from Bangabhaban was inappropriate.

He made this comment at a free medical camp and blood donation programme on Tuesday (12 November).

Rizvi remarked that Khondaker Mostaque Ahmed had previously taken down Mujibur Rahman's picture, and it was later reinstated by Ziaur Rahman.

On Monday, 11 November, Adviser Mahfuj Alam shared a post on Facebook revealing this development, accompanied by a photograph.

In the caption, he wrote that the "post-71 fascist leader Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's picture has been removed from the Darbar Hall."
