Six candidates of Bangladeshi origin are running in various US elections, with five incumbents seeking re-election across Democratic and Republican tickets

A total of six candidates of Bangladeshi origin are currently contesting seats in various US elections, including five incumbents seeking re-election across key states. 

Among these, Georgia State Senator Sheikh Rahman holds a particularly strong position as he stands for re-election in Senate District 5, Georgia. Additionally, Nabila Islam is running for re-election in Georgia's Senate District 7, while Masudur Rahman and Salim Saddam are also vying to retain their seats in Senate District 4 of Connecticut and Senate District 37 in Virginia, respectively. All four candidates are members of the Democratic Party.

Meanwhile, Abul Bashar Khan, running as a Republican candidate, seeks re-election to the New Hampshire State House of Representatives, representing Rockingham District 20. Another Democratic candidate, Dr Nuran Nabi, is also participating in the current election cycle.

Furthermore, other Bangladeshi-American communities are represented in states such as Pennsylvania, Michigan, and New Jersey, where Bangladeshi-origin individuals hold positions at county and other administrative levels.
