The interim government has announced a waiver of tuition and school fees for students injured during the July-August protests led by students and citizens.

Ministry of Education conveyed the information in an official gazette notification issued on Tuesday (29 October), detailing the procedure for availing of this benefit.

The notification states that the government has resolved to waive all tuition and school fees for injured students from secondary to university levels, covering all public and private schools, colleges, madrasas, technical institutions, and universities, in response to the July-August 2024 mass uprising.

Injured students are required to submit an application to the head of their respective educational institution, accompanied by medical documentation of their injuries.
