The decision regarding whether Mohammed Sahabuddin will remain in the position of President of Bangladesh is not a legal but a political matter, said Md Nahid Islam, adviser to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
He made these remarks on Wednesday (23 October) during a press briefing following a meeting at the chief adviser's residence.
In response to a question from the media, the advisor further clarified that if the public does not wish for Mohammed Sahabuddin to continue as president, he will not remain in office.
