Mohammad Atiqul Islam, former mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), has been arrested in the capital on Wednesday (16 October).
Deputy Commissioner (media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Talebur Rahman said a team of Mohammadpur police arrested him from Mohakhali DOHS area in the evening.
The police official, however, did not reveal in which case Atiqul Islam was arrested.
