Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Bangladesh Essa Yousef Essa Al Duhailan has laid emphasis on widening the scope of bilateral trade and commerce with Bangladesh.

The envoy made this remarks while meeting with President of Commonwealth of Independent States-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CIS-BCCI) Mohammad Ali Deen at the Saudi embassy office in the city on Monday, said a press release.

During the meeting, they discussed matters of mutual interest and ways of enhancing bilateral trade and economic cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh especially in the private sector.

Mohammad Ali Deen highlighted the roles of CIS-BCCI for promoting the trade and economic cooperation between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia. 

He believed that strengthening cooperation in culture, sports and tourism can play a vital role in expanding the long-term economic partnership with Saudi Arabia.

CIS-BCCI directors Md Hasen Ali, Md Farukul Islam Shova, Khan Md. Iqbal and Md Razib Pervez, among others, were present on the occasion.
