EDOTCO Bangladesh, the nation’s leading telecommunications infrastructure provider, has expanded its transformative ‘Tower to Power’ CSR initiative by bringing renewable energy to St. Francis High School in Dinajpur.

The initiative has equipped the school with a 2.2 KW solar power system integrated into its telecom tower, ensuring uninterrupted electricity for its student hostels.

This effort addresses the persistent power shortages at the school, providing a stable and conducive learning environment for 250 students and staff. The project was inaugurated in a ceremony attended by Sunil Issac, Country Managing Director of EDOTCO Bangladesh; Dr. Sabbir Ahmad, Director of Engineering; Md. Monowar Sikder, Director of Operations; the District Education Officer of Dinajpur; the Bishop of the church; and other school authorities.

Sunil Issac highlighted EDOTCO’s commitment to sustainability and community empowerment, stating, “At EDOTCO, we leverage our infrastructure for the greater good, ensuring connectivity translates into real-life benefits. The ‘Tower to Power’ initiative reflects our vision of using renewable energy to address electricity shortages in underserved areas. Since its launch in 2017, the ‘Tower to Power’ initiative has positively impacted over 65,000 underserved individuals across Bangladesh by providing access to sustainable energy.
