Two consignments of 26,250 metric tonnes of Pakistani rice and 11,000 metric tonnes of Indian rice arrived at Chittagong Port on Wednesday (5 March).
The Pakistani vessel named ‘MV SIBI’ with 26,250 metric tonnes (MT) of rice under the Government-to-Government (G2G) deal and Indian vessel named ‘MV HT UNITE’ anchored at Chittagong Port in the morning, said Imdad Islam, Public Relation officer of Food Ministry.
The unload activities will begin today after testing the samples of rice stored on the two ships, said the officer.
