A head-on collision between an ambulance and a truck in Rajshahi’s Godagari upazila has left three dead and two injured, with authorities searching for the absconding truck driver

A devastating collision between an ambulance and a truck in Rajshahi’s Godagari upazila has claimed three lives, leaving two others injured.

The accident occurred at approximately 5:30am on Monday (3 March) in the Rajabari check-post area.

Among the deceased, the identity of the ambulance driver, Jewel, has been confirmed.

According to police, the ambulance was en route to Rajshahi from Godagari Hospital when it collided head-on with an oncoming truck in Rajabari.

Three individuals lost their lives at the scene, while the injured were rushed to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for treatment.

Godagari Police Station’s officer-in-charge, Ruhul Amin, stated that the truck driver fled the scene with the vehicle immediately after the crash.

Law enforcement officials are working to identify and locate the vehicle, and a case will be filed in connection with the incident.
