Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin reaffirmed the Election Commission's commitment to holding free, fair, and acceptable elections, stressing that there is no ambiguity in their approach.

"Our goal is to hold free, fair, and acceptable elections. We have no ambivalence about this," CEC Nasir Uddin said while addressing an event in Sylhet on Thursday (9 January).

He further emphasised the neutrality of the Election Commission, saying, "We have not come to the field to support any party, group, or individual. We are here for a free and fair election. If you work in favour of anyone, it will create problems. We will take a firm stance. Therefore, you must work by following the law properly. If you work properly , we will deliver a fair and fair election."

In his remarks to officials of various levels participating in a day-long workshop, the CEC reminded them of their impartial role. "In the upcoming election, you will not work with any bias. In the past, if you didn't work with a certain bias, there would have been problems with your job. But that's not the case now. So, there is no reason to fear," he added.

The chief election commissioner also expressed his dedication to ensuring a smooth electoral process. "I want to give a free and fair election to those involved in the election process and with the cooperation of the countrymen and everyone," he said.

The event was attended by election commissioners and local officials involved in the electoral process.
