Seven Assistant Commissioners (AC) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have been transferred, according to an official order issued by DMP Commissioner Sazzat Ali on Tuesday (31 December).
According to a DMP Media Division disclosure on Wednesday (1 January), the officials affected by the transfer order include Hafizur Rahman, Assistant Commissioner of the Traffic Division's Sabujbagh Zone under the Motijheel Division, who has been reassigned to the Research and Development (R&D-2) division at the DMP Headquarters.
Sakhawat Hossain Sentu from the Airport Zone under the Traffic Division of Uttara has been posted to the BNP Headquarters’ City Admin and Logistics Division (Crime Scene and Support).
Ehsanul Kamran Tanvir of the Mirpur Division under the Detective Branch (DB) has been transferred to the Darussalam Zone in the same division.
Additionally, Mohammad Akkas Ali, formerly of the DMP Headquarters, will now serve in the Motijheel Division. Sohel Rana has been assigned to the Traffic Division in Uttara, while Omar Faruk has been placed in the Gulshan Division as AC Patrol (Cantonment).
Delwar Hossain, who was previously handling the same duties, has been attached to the DMP Headquarters.
These transfers mark a notable reshuffle within the organisational structure of the DMP as part of its ongoing administrative adjustments.
