Kamran Tanvirur Rahman, Bangladesh's leading entrepreneur in jute and tea industries, has been unanimously re-elected the president the Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dhaka (MCCI) to serve it for the term of 2025.
The chamber disseminated the information following Tuesday's annual general meeting.
Kamran Tanvirur Rahman is playing leading role in several business organisations. He is the chairman and managing director of Kapna Tea Company Ltd and Pubali Jute Mills Limited. Besides, he runs Bangladesh Tea Association as its chairman.
According to a statement of the country’s leading chamber, Kamran is also a member of the Labour Reform Commission formed by the interim government of Bangladesh.
Rahman, Habibullah N Karim, the managing director and CEO of Technohaven Company Ltd, has been re-elected as the senior vice president for 2025.
He is the former president of BASIS. He has a great contribution to the field of information technology and initiatives of digital banking.
Simeen Rahman has been re-elected as vice president of MCCI.
Simeen is a Bangladeshi business personality and the Group CEO of Transcom Limited, one of the largest and most diversified conglomerates in the country.
She has a wide experience in operating the business of pharmaceuticals, beverages, consumer goods and media.
