Thousands of Islamic leaders and followers have convened at Dhaka's historic Suhrawardy Udyan for a large-scale rally intended to bolster Islamic teachings and foster unity within the community.
Organised by Ulama Mashayekh Bangladesh, the event commenced at 9am on Tuesday (5 November), and concluded at approximately 1pm.
The gathering has caused significant traffic disruptions, with gridlock affecting parts of Dhaka as participants arrived en masse.
It has drawn prominent Islamic figures from across the country, who are expected to address various concerns within the community, particularly the ongoing discussions regarding the Tablighi Jamaat and its activities in Bangladesh.
