The Local Government Division (LGD) has distributed a total of 48.83 lakh water purification tablets from in 11 flood-affected districts.
Besides, as many as 24,453 jerricans have been distributed alongside 4,869 hygiene kits with the help of UNICEF, a press release said.
According to the information received from the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED), 7 800 kilometers (km) of roads and 1, 140 bridges and culverts have been primarily damaged due to the recent flood, heavy rains and landslides.
So far, LGED has repaired 65 km roads and 65 bridges and culverts.
