In a significant reshuffle within the top ranks of the Bangladesh Army, several high-ranking officers have been reassigned to new positions.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has issued a notification announcing the reshuffle on Tuesday (6 August).
As part of the reshuffle move, Major General Ziaul Ahsan has been relieved of his duties and Lieutenant General Md Saiful Alam has been transferred to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Additionally, Lieutenant General Md Mojibur Rahman has been appointed as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Army Training and Doctrine Command.
Lieutenant General Ahmad Tabrez Shams Chowdhury has been appointed as the Quartermaster General of the Bangladesh Army.
Lieutenant General Mizanur Rahman Shamim has been appointed as the Chief of General Staff of the Bangladesh Army.
Lieutenant General Mohammad Shaheenul Haque has been appointed as the Commandant of the National Defence College (NDC).
Major General ASM Ridwanur Rahman has been appointed as the Director General of the National Telecommunication Monitoring Centre (NTMC).
