At least 50 children have committed suicide over the last six months across the country, according to Ain O Salish Kendra's Statistical Report on Human Rights Violations.
During the same period, a total of 631 children were victims of torture and murder in different parts of the country. Among them, 239 children were killed, and three boys were killed after being raped.
The report stated that between January and June 2023, ten people were killed and 14 injured by Indian BSF firing at the border.
In the first six months of this year, 13 Bangladeshi citizens were killed by Indian BSF firing at the border. Additionally, 11 citizens were injured.
On the other hand, one Bangladeshi citizen and one Rohingya in Bangladesh were killed by a mortar shell on the Myanmar border.
A total of 32 people were killed in mob attacks in six months. Among them, 16 people were killed in Dhaka Division, seven in Rajshahi Division, three in Chittagong Division, two in Khulna Division, one in Barisal Division, two in Mymensingh Division, and one in Sylhet Division. The death toll in mob attacks was 24 from January to June 2023.
Over the last six months, a total of 250 women became victims of rape. Additionally, 46 people have died in different prisons across the country.
