India's Foreign Secretary, Vinay Mohan Kwatra, is set to visit Dhaka on 8 May.
During this visit, he is expected to extend an invitation to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for an upcoming trip to Delhi.
A diplomatic source in Dhaka confirmed the details of Kwatra's visit to Bangladesh First.
His primary meeting during the Dhaka visit will be with Bangladesh's Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen.
Kwatra is also anticipated to have a courtesy meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Earlier, there were talks of Indian Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra visiting Dhaka on 20 April.
However, due to unavoidable circumstances, that scheduled visit had to be postponed.
The meeting is expected to cover various bilateral issues between the two countries.
