The Election Commission has fixed the schedule of the third phase of the 6th Upazila Parishad elections.
Secretary of election commission secretariat Md. Zahangir Alam said the third phase of the 6th Upazila Parishad elections will be held in 112 upazilas on 29 May.
He announced the schedule after a meeting at Election Commission Bhaban yesterday (17 April).
According to the election schedule, the last date for submission of nominations is 2 May and scrutiny of the nominations is 5 May.
While the last date for withdrawal of candidature is 12 May and symbol distribution is on 13 May.
On 8 May, a total of 150 upazilas in the country will go to polls in the first phase and 161 upazilas will go to polls on 21 May.
