The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain and thunderstorms accompanied by temporary gusty and squally winds across the country over the next five days, starting Saturday.
Additionally, isolated rainfall is expected at one or two places in the Sylhet division within 24 hours from 9 am on Saturday.
Elsewhere in the country, the weather is likely to remain dry with a partly cloudy sky, according to the BMD.
The department also noted that daytime temperatures may increase slightly, while nighttime temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged.
The weather pattern is being influenced by a trough of low pressure over West Bengal and its adjoining areas, as well as a seasonal low over the South Bay.
