Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has appointed Mahfuj Alam as the adviser to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, a day after Nahid Islam resigned from the post to join an upcoming youth-led political party.
Besides, the chief adviser has taken responsibility of the Ministry Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, another ministry Nahid Islam used to be in charge of.
The Cabinet Division issued a circular in this regard on Wednesday (26 February).
