Bangladesh has called for  a roadmap with concrete and time-bound measures for a Two State Solution leading to a comprehensive and lasting peace in Palestine and the region.

The call was made at the two-day Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two- State Solution which was held in Riyad, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on 30-31 October, according to a message received in Dhaka.

The high-level event, attended by around 90 delegations from the OIC, the Arab League and UN member states, was inaugurated by Saudi foreign minister Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdul Aziz on Wednesday.

Additional Foreign Secretary Dr. Nazrul Islam led the two-member Bangladesh delegation also comprised with foreign ministry’s director general West Asia Md Shafiqur Rahman.

Bangladesh delegation head extended gratitude to Saudi Arabia and the co-initiators of the Global Alliance for hosting the time befitting grand gathering.
