So far, members of Bangladesh Army have arrested 152 criminals from the areas of Mohammadpur, Adabar and Sher-e-Bangla police stations after getting magistracy power.

A total of 45 members of robbers, extortionists and juvenile gangs were detained with sharp weapons from Dhaka Udyan, Chand Udyan and Nabodaya Housing in the operation of joint forces.

The joint operation was conducted by 23 East Bengal of Bangladesh Army, RAB and police in Mohammadpur area in the capital around 10 pm on Saturday (26 October).

So far, members of Bangladesh Army have arrested 152 criminals from the areas of Mohammadpur, Adabar and Sher-e-Bangla police stations after getting magistracy power.

They also recovered 18 firearms, 271 rounds of ammunition, 172 types of various domestic and foreign weapons, one grenade and a large quantity of narcotics.

Recently, several sensational robberies have taken place in Mohammadpur of the capital. Locals have besieged the police station and demanded to improve law and order situation in the area.

In such a situation, the operation of the joint forces was conducted aiming at bringing relief to the lives of the people of Mohammadpur.
