Mohamed Salah is in scintillating form this season, playing a crucial role in keeping Liverpool at the top of both the Premier League and the Champions League standings.

In the last match, Salah not only scored a goal himself but also assisted in two others, showcasing his importance to the team.

However, the 31-year-old’s contract with Liverpool is set to expire on 30 June.

Similarly, the contracts of his teammates, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, are also nearing their respective conclusions.

Despite this, Liverpool’s management has yet to approach any of the trio with proposals for contract renewals.

Salah, meanwhile, has expressed his desire to focus solely on the team’s pursuit of trophies rather than dwell on contract matters. When asked about his future, Salah said, “We are still far from any contract renewals, and I do not wish to comment on it now. I want to enjoy my game, give my best for the team, and win trophies.”

Liverpool manager Arne Slot, however, appears unconcerned about the prospect of the players potentially joining other clubs during the January transfer window.

Slot remarked, “I have significant control over them on the pitch, but I do not want to interfere in their personal decisions.”

Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy believes Salah will remain at Anfield.

He commented, “Liverpool fans want Salah to stay, and I think he will renew his contract.

He is currently the most important player in the team.”

Nonetheless, rumours are swirling that Salah might leave the club out of discontent, given Liverpool’s apparent lack of initiative in extending his contract.

The uncertainty has left fans speculating on the club’s plans, even as Salah and his teammates continue to drive Liverpool’s title ambitions forward.
