Three BNP associate bodies -- Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal, Swechchasebak Dal, and Chhatra Dal -- will begin a long march towards Agartala from Dhaka on Wednesday (11 December) morning to protest against Indian aggression and the spread of false information terrorism against Bangladesh.

The peaceful long march is set to start from Nayapaltan at 8am on Wednesday.

The leaders and activists of the three organisations said that the long march will rally at Bhairab Bazar via Motijheel Shapla Chattar, Kanchpur Bridge, Bhulata Gauchia, Panchdona. From there, it is scheduled to reach the Akhaura border, the land port of Brahmanbaria.

The organisations have made extensive preparations for the long march programme. Leaders, activists and supporters of BNP-affiliated organisations in Dhaka city will participate in the programme with cars, open trucks and motorcycles.

In addition, leaders and activists of various organisational units from different districts will join the long march on the way.

The long march will also protest the attack on the Bangladesh mission in Agartala and the desecration of the country's national flag.

On Monday last, Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal President Monayem Munna, on behalf of the three organisations, announced the long march programme at a press conference at the BNP’s Nayapaltan central office in the capital.

He called upon students, youths and volunteers from all levels in Bangladesh to make the long march a grand success.
