International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Bangladesh recently hosted a comprehensive day-long workshop on Digitalising International Trade (DSI) in collaboration with ICC-DSI. 

The event took place in Dhaka and was inaugurated by the State Minister for Finance Waseqa Ayesha Khan, said a press release.

Notable attendees included ICC Bangladesh President Mahbubur Rahman; Vice President Naser Ezaz Bijoy; Banking Commission Chair Muhammad A. (Rumee) Ali; Regional Head of ITFC-IDB Iftekhar Alam; UN-ESCAP Director Dr Rupa Chanda; ADB Country Director Edimon Ginting; DSI-ICC Managing Director Pamela Mar, and ICCB Secretary General Ataur Rahman.

The workshop received sponsorship from the ADB TSCFP, the US Department of State (US DoS), and the ITFC of the Islamic Development Bank, with Standard Chartered serving as the knowledge partner.

Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on the future of international trade in the digital era, highlighting the crucial role of technology in enhancing trade efficiency and transparency.

The event underscored Bangladesh's commitment to embracing digital advancements in trade practices, paving the way for a more integrated global trading system.
