Finance Minister Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali has acknowledged the challenges present in the economy and is determined to address them.
"We are all aware of the challenges our economy is facing, and now it is imperative to find solutions," said Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali while speaking at the secretariat on his first working day as the finance minister.
The new finance minister emphasized giving priority to controlling the prices of daily commodities during Ramadan.
In response to a question about money laundering and the devaluation of money, he remarked, 'Let's see what can be done in this regard.'
"Problems exist, and I am making an effort to understand them; I will try to find solutions. I am not the person to sit idly," he added when asked about the overall economic conditions.
On the matter of money devaluation, the finance minister said, "In many countries, there has been a significant devaluation of money, but it is comparatively less in our country. It will take time to take steps to solve it."
