Industrialist Seraj Uddin Ahmed remembered on 40th death anniversary

Commemorative events in Dhaka and Chittagong to mark four decades since the passing of Seraj Uddin Ahmed, a trailblazer of Bangladesh’s industrial landscape

The 40th death anniversary of Seraj Uddin Ahmed, founding chairman of Elite Paint Group of Companies, will be observed on 1 May.

A pioneering figure in Bangladesh's industrial and financial sectors, he was also a founding director of Arab Bangladesh Bank Ltd, former president of the Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and former chairman of the Tea Traders Association of Bangladesh (TTAB).

To honour his memory, a milad mahfil followed by ziafat will be held at Golf Garden, Army Golf Club, Dhaka. A similar programme will also take place in Chittagong.

These commemorative events are being organised on behalf of Elite Group of Industries to pay tribute to his enduring legacy and contributions to the nation’s business and commerce.
