Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus arrived in Doha on Monday (22 April) to attend the forthcoming Earthna Summit 2025.
His flight landed at Hamad International Airport at 9:40pm local time on Monday, said CA's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam via a post on social media.
Professor Yunus was warmly received at the airport by Qatar’s Chief of Protocol, Ambassador Ibrahim Fakhro.
A red carpet reception was accorded in honour of his arrival.
Earlier that evening, Professor Yunus departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 7pm aboard a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight, accompanied by members of his delegation.
According to Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumdar, the visit is being undertaken at the invitation of Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.
In addition to attending the summit, a bilateral meeting between the chief adviser and the Emir is likely to take place during the visit.
