The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in a statement today called upon the city dwellers not to be panicked by sudden processions of some banned and isolated organisations, saying that they are on hot pursuit to prevent anarchy and capture troublemakers.

The DMP has requested the people not to be panicked unnecessarily about the isolated and sudden atrocities of the banned Chhatra League and its like-minded organisations.
The statement said that the Chhatra League and other organizations have been trying to create panic in the public by creating an unstable environment by holding sudden processions in different parts of the capital in recent times.
Following the police's movement, said they get out of their cars marched for one or two minutes in a specific area and quickly left the scene.
Later, pictures and videos of these processions are circulated on social media to announce their existence, it said.
Although it was not possible to arrest these miscreants immediately, many were later arrested and brought under the law after analysing the pictures and video footage, it also said.
