Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus has concluded his visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) after attending the World Governments Summit in Dubai.

UAE Minister of State for Youth Affairs Ahmed Belhoul Al Falasi bid him farewell at Dubai International Airport before his departure on an Emirates flight to Bangladesh on Friday (14 February), according to a statement from the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing.

During his visit, the chief adviser engaged in discussions with several UAE ministers on the sidelines of the summit.

The meetings covered key bilateral issues, including the visa restrictions on Bangladeshi nationals, trade expansion, UAE’s investment plans for Chattogram port, and strengthening cooperation in sports and education.

In an effort to bolster economic ties, he invited UAE-based companies to relocate their manufacturing facilities to Bangladesh.

Additionally, following a proposal from UAE’s Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, the chief adviser agreed in principle to establish a dedicated industrial park for Emirati businesses in Bangladesh.
