Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) has announced plans to install ATM and cash recycling machines (CRM) across metro rail stations to facilitate hassle-free banking for passengers.
The initiative was disclosed on Wednesday (12 February), via DMTCL’s official Facebook page.
According to the statement, a contract was signed on 12 February between DMTCL and seven leading banks of the country at the metro rail headquarters in Uttara, ensuring enhanced banking convenience for metro commuters.
Under this agreement, ATMs and CRM machines will be installed at various metro stations, enabling passengers to withdraw or deposit cash effortlessly while commuting to and from their workplaces.
The move is expected to streamline daily financial transactions for thousands of passengers.
The contract signing ceremony was attended by senior officials of DMTCL, including its managing director, along with top executives from the participating banks.
The agreement was signed by the company secretary on behalf of DMTCL and senior representatives from the respective banks.
