Maritime Transport and Labour and Employment, has stated that Indian misinformation campaigns pose no threat to Bangladesh, highlighting the country’s robust healthcare and market systems.
He made these remarks on Friday (6 December), following his inspection of the Benapole Cargo Yard and Immigration facilities in Jashore.
"Bangladesh stands as the second-largest source of travellers to India globally," he noted, emphasising the economic advantage this provides to the neighbouring country.
"If India discourages its citizens from coming here, Bangladeshis too may reconsider visiting India."
The adviser further underscored the absence of majoritarian-minoritarian divisions within Bangladesh, asserting that people of all religions coexist harmoniously in the nation.
Urging everyone to remain vigilant against provocation, he said, "We are historically united and must maintain that solidarity."
During the visit, officials from the Jessore district administration, including Deputy Commissioner Azaharul Islam, alongside police and local government representatives, were present.
