Rowshan Ershad and Kazi Mamunur Rashid have been elected as the chairman and general secretary of the Jatiya Party, respectively.
Additionally, Kazi Feroz Rashid has been appointed as the executive chairman, and Syed Abu Hossain Babla has become the senior co-chairman of the party.
About 5,000 councilors and delegates of the party approved the new leadership at the 10th National Conference of the Jatiya Party, held at IB Square on Saturday (March 9th).
The conference officially commenced at 12 noon with the hoisting of the national flag. Leaders from various political parties delivered congratulatory speeches.
Saidur Rahman Tepa, Shafiqul Islam Sentu, Rahgir Al Mahi Saad Ershad, Golam Sarwar Milan, and Sunil Shubharay were elected as co-chairmen.
On January 28th, Rowshan Ershad dismissed GM Quader as party chairman and Mujibul Haque Chunnu as secretary-general. Simultaneously, she declared herself as the chairman of JaPa.
Subsequently, on March 9th, she convened the party's national council.
