Managing Director (MD) of private television channel Desh TV, Arif Hasan, was arrested on Saturday (16 November) night.
A team of Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested him from his residence in the city, said DB chief Rezaul Karim Mallik.
According to sources, Arif Hasan has been taken to the DB office.
He was arrested in a murder case filed with the Airport police station on 19 July.
Later in the day he was produced before a Dhaka court and placed on 2-day remand.
Arif Hasan is now serving as the secretary general of the executive committee of the Association of Television Channel Owners (ATCO).
