The interim government has promoted Md Fahimul Islam, additional secretary of the Road Transport and Highways Division, to the position of secretary.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification announcing Fahimul’s appointment to the role on Monday (7 October).
The notification stated that Md Fahimul Islam, currently serving as additional secretary of the Road Transport and Highways Division, has been promoted to secretary of the Bridge Division as well as the executive director of the Bangladesh Bridge Authority.
On 18 September, Manjur Hossain, the senior secretary of the Bridge Division, was made an Officer on Special Duty (OSD) by the Ministry of Public Administration.
