The vivo Global Imaging Press Conference 2024, held recently in Beijing, China, spotlighted the future of smartphone photography. The event featured prominent speakers including Yu Meng, Vice President of vivo’s Imaging Division; Li Zhuo, Senior Director of Imaging Products; and Sebastian Döntgen, Head of Mobile Imaging at Zeiss Photonics and Optics.

vivo seized the occasion to unveil its highly anticipated X200 series smartphones, underscoring its commitment to meeting the growing demands of users around the world. Under the motto "Empowering Experience through Digital, Humanising Technology for All," vivo’s collaboration with Zeiss reflects a shared vision to push the boundaries of smartphone imaging.

In his opening address, Yu Meng highlighted vivo’s global expansion and technological advancements, noting, “At vivo, we firmly believe in the power of imaging technology, which transcends geographical boundaries and cultural differences. Since embarking on our global journey in 2014, vivo has made remarkable strides in worldwide expansion. We are conducting extensive research to understand the diverse needs of users in different countries, supported by our robust R&D team of over 700 top professionals and key partners like Zeiss.”

Li Zhuo emphasised the X200 series' imaging innovations, particularly its Zeiss-powered Landscape, Portrait, Telephoto, and Videography capabilities. The X200 Pro model boasts a 135mm Ultra-Sensing Portrait System, delivering breathtaking landscapes and an impressive 20x zoom in telephoto mode. Additionally, it is equipped with the cutting-edge V3+ imaging chip for superior video capture, solidifying vivo’s reputation for high-quality smartphone photography.

Sebastian Döntgen from Zeiss added that vivo smartphones are now equipped with renowned Zeiss lens technologies such as Biotar Style Bokeh and Zeiss Planar, celebrated for their sharpness and contrast. These innovations ensure top-tier imaging performance, even in challenging conditions, and are available across both the flagship X200 series and the V series models.

The X200 series represents a significant leap forward in smartphone imaging, positioning vivo as a leader in the industry, committed to delivering innovative, human-centred technology to users worldwide.
