The Judiciary and Public Administration Reform Commissions have submitted their reports to Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus. The handover took place at 1pm on Wednesday (5 February), at the state guesthouse Jamuna.

Former chief justice Shah Abu Naeem Mominur Rahman, head of the Judiciary Reform Commission, and Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury, head of the Public Administration Reform Commission, formally presented the reports.

While the contents of the reports remain undisclosed, it is anticipated that the Public Administration Reform Commission’s report includes over 100 recommendations.

Following the government’s formation on 8 August, six commissions were established to oversee reforms across various state sectors.

Of these, the Election Commission, Anti-Corruption Commission, Police Reform Commission, and Constitution Reform Commission submitted their reports to the chief adviser on 15 January.

Speaking to journalists at the secretariat on 4 February, Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury stated that the commission had initially aimed to submit its report last month but required additional time due to extensive fieldwork.

"We travelled to different districts and sub-districts, engaging with people and gathering opinions online," he said, confirming that the report contains over 100 recommendations but refraining from divulging further details.

Interim government formed the eight-member Public Administration Reform Commission on 3 October, later expanding it to eleven members.

The commission was originally tasked with submitting its report within three months, but its tenure was extended thrice, with a final deadline of 15 February.

However, as the work concluded earlier than anticipated, the report was submitted ten days ahead of schedule.
