Information and Broadcasting Adviser Md Nahid Islam has clarified that no decision has been made regarding his resignation from the interim government or the formation of a political party. He assured that any such decision, if taken, would be announced by him personally.

Speaking to journalists at the Ministry on Thursday (30 January), Nahid Islam said, "I have not made any decision to resign or form a political party. If I decide to resign, I will announce it myself."

In response to a news report published in a national daily, which claims that Advisers Md Nahid Islam, Mahfuj Alam, and Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, adviser to the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development, and Cooperatives, are planning to leave the government to establish a political party, Nahid Islam refuted the claims.

He added, "I noticed the report in the newspaper, but they have not clarified the basis on which they made these claims."

Nahid Islam emphasised that he and other advisers are continuing their responsibilities within the government and that any future decisions will be communicated transparently to the public.
