The interim government has unequivocally condemned the attack on a peaceful gathering of ethnic minority students in front of NTCB, Motijheel, on Wednesday (15 January).

In response, the authorities have launched a thorough investigation, resulting in the arrest of two individuals thus far, with further perpetrators being identified and arrests imminent, said the CA's Press Wing in a statement on Thursday (16 January).

The government has vowed that all those involved in this heinous act will face justice.

Drawing inspiration from the spirit of the July mass uprising, the government reaffirmed its stance against mob violence, racial hatred, and bigotry, stating that such behaviour has no place in Bangladesh.

It issued a stern warning that any individual engaging in activities that disrupt harmony, peace, and public order will be met with uncompromising legal action.
