The international Crimes Tribunal (ICT) has issued arrest warrant against four policemen over their alleged involvement in the killings and genocides committed during the student-led mass-uprising in July and August.

One of the accused is former officer-in-charge (investigation) of Jatrabari Police Station Jakir Hossain.

The three-judge panel of the ICT, led by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Mozumder, passed the order on Tuesday.

Earlier, the panel had allowed the petition filed and moved by the Chief Prosecutor Muhammad Tajul Islam.

The ICT chief prosecutor told the reporters that the probe body has found indisputable evidences against the four over their gruesome role during the July and August mass uprising.

The chief prosecutor, however, declined to disclose the names of the three other accused over security reasons.
