There is no alternative to the unity of Muslims for the welfare of the Ummah, Religious Affairs Advisor Dr A F M Khalid Hossain said on Saturday.
He said that our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has ordered Muslims to be united.
The adviser was speaking at a discussion meeting organized on the occasion of Eid-e-Miladunnabi (PBUH) and Islamic Unity Week at Kabi Sufia Kamal Auditorium of National Museum at Shahbagh in the capital this afternoon.
The Cultural Center of the Iranian Embassy organized the discussion.
The religious adviser emphasized that if the Muslim Ummah can unite, it has the potential to transform the world and protect Al-Aqsa from Israeli aggression. “We possess abundant resources within the Muslim world, and if we harness them scientifically, we can awaken with renewed energy,” he stated.
He also highlighted that Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) was a mercy from Allah, the Prophet of humanity who laid the foundations of human rights nearly 1400 years before the declaration of universal human rights. He pointed out that before His arrival, the concept of human rights did not exist.
“The essence of equality among all people lies in the fear of Allah, which is the true measure of excellence,” the adviser further stated.
The religious adviser remarked that prior to the arrival of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), women were often denied respect and dignity. However, the Prophet proclaimed that "the child's heaven is under the mother's feet," thereby establishing the revered status of women in society. Additionally, he introduced the first code of conduct for warfare, stating that women and children should be spared in battle, and that priests should not be harmed in places of worship, including temples, churches, and pagodas.
“If we can follow the path of the Prophet (PBUH), then our personal, family, social and national life will be enlightened and glorious,” he added.
