Nine countries, including Bangladesh have sent aid for the people in war-torn Gaza for Ramadan.
A total of two thousand tonnes of food and medical supplies have been sent through Al Azhar Zakat and Charity House, an Al Azhar University-based organisation in Egypt, reports Arham Online.
“Trucks carrying relief goods will enter Gaza from Egypt's North Sinai through the Rafah border crossing,” Al-Azhar Zakat and Charity Spokesman Abdel-Alim Kashta said.
Apart from Bangladesh, the eight other countries that have sent relief in the shipment are Indonesia, India, United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, France, China, Canada and Germany.
Earlier in a statement, the charity organisation said the shipment is the largest since the war in the Gaza Strip began on 7 October.
About 31,000 Palestinians have been killed so far as a result of Israel's attack on Gaza.
Most of them are women and children.
Besides, more than 72,000 people were injured.
In addition, more than two million residents have been forced to leave their homes due to Israeli aggression.
